Special issue "Assessment of plant genetic diversity"
Su richiesta del Prof. Mario Augusto Pagnotta (Dipartimento di AgroBiologia e AgroChimica, Università della Tuscia) si riporta la seguente comunicazione:
Dear Colleagues,
We are setting up a special issue on "Assessment of Plant Genetic Diversity" to be published in the journal Diversity (ISSN 1424-2818 http://www.mdpi.com/journal/diversity/). As the Guest Editor of this special issue, I would like to invite you to contribute a comprehensive review article or a full research paper for peer-review and possible publication. The website for this special issue can be found at http://www.mdpi.com/journal/diversity/special_issues/plant-genetic-div.
The deadline for manuscript submissions is the 31 March 2010. You may send your manuscripts now or by the deadline. Submitted papers should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere. The special issue will be fully Open Access with publishing fees paid by authors' institutes. Open Access (unlimited and free access by readers) increases publicity and promotes more frequent citations as indicated by several studies. More information on Open Access is available at http://www.mdpi.com/about/openaccess/.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors before submitting a manuscript (http://www.mdpi.com/journal/diversity/instructions/). Manuscripts should be submitted by e-mail to diversity@mdpi.org with copies to the Guest Editor (Prof. Dr. Mario A. Pagnotta, E-mail: pagnotta@unitus.it) and the Editor-in-Chief (Prof. Dr. Michael Wink, E-mail: wink@uni-hd.de). The subject title of the message should be "Manuscript for Special Issue on "Assessment of Plant Genetic Diversity"".
Diversity is a new international, peer-reviewed, open access journal, published quarterly by MDPI. It is a journal of Science and Technology, concerning diversity concepts and applications, diversity assessment and diversity preservation. Because it is an online journal, papers published in Diversity will receive very high publicity. The first issue will be released in 2009. Open Access publication fees will be waived for well-prepared manuscripts submitted in 2009.
MDPI publishes several peer-reviewed open access journals listed at http://www.mdpi.com/. The editorial board members, including several Nobel Laureates (http://www.mdpi.com/about/nobelists/), are all leading active scholars. All these journals maintain rapid, yet rigorous, peer-review, manuscript handling and editorial processes. All of our journals have increased impact factors, see the editorial "Full Open Access Journals Have Increased Impact Factors", http://www.mdpi.com/1420-3049/14/6/2254/.
We are looking forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Prof. Dr. Mario A. Pagnotta
