POST-DOCTORAL FELLOW/RESEARCH FELLOW (durum wheat GENETICS)
The post-doctoral fellow will conduct research to support the genetics program of ACPFG in durum wheat. The project is part of a collaboration with durum wheat research groups in Italy. The project aims to expand the germplasm base for durum wheat improvement, develop mutant resources to enhance gene discovery and analysis. In particular the fellow will analyse the genetic basis for key quality traits. The successful candidate will link with the durum breeding and pre-breeding programs in South Australia and with established durum programs in Italy by exchanging germplasm, resources, expertise and students. Since the project involves a close collaboration with groups in Italy, Italian language skills are an advantage.
