Field Automation Applications Scientist
The Field Automation Applications Scientist is a primary technical contact for Diagenode's customers. As Field Applications Scientist, you will provide sales, technical, logistical, and troubleshooting support to all customers using Diagenode's automation product line as well as sonication, ChIP, DNA methylation related products. You will assist the company in developing excellent customer relationships and collaborations, and ensure customer success with our products.
The Field Applications Scientist should be based in the company's Head Office in Liège, Belgium.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Helping to maintain and increase product usage, and supporting sales efforts through technical presentations and demonstrations.
• Coordinating new instrument installations, including facility inspections, instrument validation, and customer training.
• Coordinating products delivery, including shipment arrangement and onsite QC tests.
• Troubleshooting issues related to existing and new products, applications or technologies, and providing feedback to R&D, marketing, and product development teams.
• Supporting major automated epigenomics customers in their studies, including for chromatin and sample preparation, early tests, applications design, and data analysis.
• Provide support and training to the sales team regarding applications, products and technologies related to automated epigenetic assays.
• Acting as a key contributor of customer feedback to marketing, R&D, and product development teams.
• Helping to maintain and build upon collaborative relationship with key accounts, including working together with customers to develop application notes, posters and publications.
• Developing and improving key company processes that support our mission of building a world-class customer support organization.
Qualifications:
• Ph.D. or equivalent in genomics, epigenetics or related field.
• 3-5 years of biotech experience, preferably in life-sciences tools industry.
• Demonstrated experience with epigenetics, ChIP, DNA methylation and/or high-throughput genomics methods.
• Demonstrated understanding of commonly-used ChIP and/or DNA methylation sample prep, protocols, technologies and data analysis.
• Demonstrated experience with instrumentation such as liquid handling robotics preferred.
• Outstanding problem solving and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication and training skills.
• Clear vision of and commitment to providing outstanding customer support.
