Postdoctoral position at the INRA Agroimpact Laboratory
The AgroImpact laboratory is seeking a highly-qualified post-doctoral researcher to work on aMaizING http://www.amaizing.fr/index.php), a project which aims at developing new knowledge, concepts and methods accelerating the emergence of a new generation of maize varieties and optimized agricultural practice in France. The main objective of this post-doctoral appointment will be to identify metabolic markers for maize biomass production under chilling conditions and to find the corresponding genomic regions through genome-wide association studies (GWAS). The successful candidate should hold a PhD with a background in biostatistics, and also have experience in the analysis of plant stress responses. Excellent written and spoken skills in English are needed. The successful candidate would join a group of approximately five scientists at Estrées-Mons (Northern France), with strong interactions with 3 other partners of aMaizING project. The appointment is for 18 months, with a provisional start date of 1 October 2017.
