PhD Position at Università degli Studi di Perugia
Starting from the academic year 2015-2016, a 3 year PhD position is available at Università degli Studi di Perugia (UNIPG) for the development of a research project on “Phaseolus vulgaris L.: conservation and use of genetic diversity for sustainable agriculture and nutrition” , within the frame of the Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences and Biotechnologies PhD program. The project should systematically capture the value of so far untapped genetic resources for a broader use in breeding, farming and the food chain, take into consideration possible evolution of populations on-farm under the present climate change scenario, and consider the use of molecular markers in assessing the genotype-phenotype correlation. PhD activities will be supervised by Prof. Valeria Negri (valeria.negri@unipg.it). Call for applications can be found at the University of Perugia web site: http://goo.gl/EXq6WM . The deadline for the submission of applications is September 7th, 2015.
