SH: Simple Hybrid - DH: Double Hybrid- OH: Octuple Hybrid

Aim of the program is the experimental evaluation of two variety models in alfalfa: free-hybrids and synthetics derived from the same partially inbred (S2) parental plants.

Data referring to pod fertility (number of seeds per pod) of the different materials along the generations of multiplication 1997-2001 will be presented. All the crossings are made by hand without emasculation.
